Haight Ashbury Neighborhood Photo Journal
I was trying to figure out what to write for this, and it all sounded so bloody boring. So let's call it what it is, an eye candy, get your butt off the sofa and grab your camera, facade loving photo journal. There. That wasn't so hard. Here within, please find a number of lovely Haight-Ashbury neighborhood facades. In true Ginevra/Ginsaypa fashion, I didn't take any photos of actual Haight Street (too many fake homeless/aggressive street kids). Instead I took a gander around the surrounding streets, starting with the one I grew up on. My fondest childhood memories are from our little house on Central Avenue between Masonic and PageJust above my former home, (confession my favorite home) on Central between Page and Haight is a nice row of brightly colored Victorians. After that I just wandered about below, above and to the side of Haight Street. I've done this in London too, for example in Notting Hill I stayed off of Portobello Road and found a lot of cool side streets to explore. Anywho, it's a fun way to explore a neighborhood, especially if you've already seen the main bit.
